Full 68K Macintosh Restoration

This is the complete package to getting your Macintosh running and looking like new.

This requires the shipping of the complete machine.

Shipping costs for example ,in Europe for a Macintosh Classic vary from country to country. But on average the cost is between 30 to 60 euro.

Upon receiving the machine I will completely strip the entire machine and perform the following.

Complete Recap

Recap the mother board and analog board. Thoroughly clean both boards from any electrolyte and dust.

Drives

The floppy drive will be stripped down, old dried up grease will be replaced with new grease, floppy heads cleaned.

Hard drive will be checked for any signs of fatigue/failures.

Dry Connections

All connections on A/B will be checked for dry connections and reflowed.

Monitor

The CRT will be set up the same as it was when the machine left the factory. There is one problem that I cannot fix however and that is screen burn. Screen Burn is a ghost image on the monitor that occurs when the same image was displayed on the CRT for a long time. If the CRT has a bad case of screen burn the only fix is to replace the CRT itself.

Retro Bright

Many 68K macs suffer from 'yellowing'. The ABS case of the machine, over time, begins to turn a more yellowish color. This is due ultra violate light from the sun.

Retro bright is a technique where the entire ABS casing of the Macintosh is treated with a special bleaching agent to restore the Macs original Color. It is a time consuming process but its end result is a Macintosh that looks like new.

I personally don't like retro righting as I prefer the machine to keep its 'aged' look.  But if you want your machine to look like it did the day it left the Apple factory this is the way.

Cost

You pay for shipping.

For the full restoration I charge 200 euro.

As always the cost depends on what work you want carried out.
